“Addition To Food” refers to compulsive eating that occurs in response to emotional distress. It’s different from food cravings which occur when you crave specific foods for pleasure.
In his TED talk Andrew Becker talks about the problems of eating to much food, the reasons we do so and why in some cases it can turn in to a addiction to food.
As with a lot of things in life, we don’t realize how the things we feel good about doing might be the exact thing that is hurting us. There are many more addictions that are not recognized as such but are as with other bad habits very harmful.
